Boulevard Wheat Takes Gold

!/system/artwork/0000/0311/Blvd_Unfiltered.jpg!: KANSAS CITY, Mo., October 13, 2008 – Boulevard Brewing Company: , the Midwest’s largest craft brewery, won a gold medal for its 3.2 Unfiltered Wheat Beer: at the 27th Great American Beer Festival (GABF), held October 9-11 in Denver, Colorado. The beer received top honors among 33 total entries in the category of Session Beers, defined as beers that balance stylistic character while containing alcohol of less than 4.1% alcohol by volume. The Sixth Glass:, a member of Boulevard’s Smokestack Series line of artisanal beers, won a bronze medal in the Belgian-Style Abbey Ale category, in a crowded field of 52 entrants.
